New Delhi: Composer AR Rahman is teaming with writer Rupa Chakravarty on 'Rahman: A Renaissance', a memoir which will offer readers unprecedented insight into the life, music and creative universe of one of the world’s most influential artists.
Co-authored by Rahman, the book will explore many ideas, influences and experiences which have shaped his journey, from his early years and artistic evolution to the music and philosophies which continue to define his work today, according to a press release.
Rahman said his music comes from the constant evolution of the mind. “My music comes from the constant evolution of my mind. The challenges, aspirations, dilemmas and tests I go through, the brotherhood I experience, the psychological turmoil, they are all interconnected," he said in a statement.
"In some way, all of them become a part of the music I make...Through this book, I hope to share some of the moments, influences and ideas that have shaped that journey," he added.
